Microsoft Project® (XML) Support (In-App feature)
Project Office supports export to and import documents with Microsoft Project® (XML) format. Both Project Office and MS Project® can read and write this format.
Note: Project Office does not support export/import MPP files.
The Microsoft Project® (XML) format can be used to exchange projects with Microsoft Project® 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016.
Mac
How to export your project to XML
Go to File ▸ Export…
Select desired export options: Microsoft Project® (XML) or Project Office Archive (lspz).
Select the destination you wish to save your exported file.
Click Save.
File element data will be compressed and included in the XML file.
How to import your project from XML
Go to File ▸ Open…
Browse to the location of the XML file you want to open.
Select the file (.xml) and click Open.
A newly opened Microsoft Project® (XML) file appears in Project Office like this:
Note: You can also open a Project XML file by browsing to the file. right-click the file, and then select Project Office app on the Open with menu.

How to export your project to XML
Tap and hold a file's thumbnail to open a contextual menu for the file.
Tap the Share button.
Tap the Share as... button.
Choose a format for sharing the file - MS Project® (XML).
5. Choose a destination from the standard set of iOS share destinations. 6. Save.
How to import your project from XML
Launch Project Office app.
Browse to the location of the XML file you want to open.
Select the file (.xml) and tap a file's thumbnail.
A newly opened Microsoft Project® (XML) file appears in Project Office like this:
